This week’s crop of new music is here. We have music from metal legends to Greek instrumentalists and points in between.
With her first release on the Razor & Tie label, Nicole Atkins comes out hard on Mondo Amore. In addition to signing with a new label, Nicole has ditched her previous backing band (The Sea) and churned out a CD that has a bit more edge that her previous release, Neptune City. For a little taste of her latest work, check out the video for “Vultures”.
I’m always looking for a way to get my electronic/chill out fix of new music, and this week it comes courtesy of Late Night Alumni. The group’s latest release is titled Haunted, and I have to say that between vocalist Becky Jean Williams’ ethereal voice and the dreamy vibe of the tracks, the title is apropos. For now, Haunted has been released as a digital download and is available here.
