We are swimming in new music today.

One thing that I love about this week’s selection is that there are some artists that have been making music for 30+ years…still going strong. But there is one artist on the list who displayed a great deal of courage in creating his latest, and seemingly final album. Country music legend Glen Campbell releases his 52nd studio album today, Ghost On the Canvas. Campbell was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, but that did not deter him from making this heartbreakingly beautiful album. The title track was written by Paul Westerberg and is proof that Campbell still has his vocal chops. The album also boasts some notable guest appearances from Billy Corgan, Chris Isaak, Rick Nielsen, and many more. This one is definitely worth a listen.

Other great new music out today from Beirut, Blood Orange, Ry Cooder, Cymbals Eat Guitars, John Doe, Mike Doughty, Glasses Malone, Great Lake Swimmers, David Guetta, Juliana Hatfield, Robert Earl Keen, Lenny Kravitz, Lil Wayne, Male Bonding, Edwin McCain, Tom Morello, Puddle of Mudd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Static Jacks, Thundercat, Tinariwen, and Butch Walker.

After the jump, check out a sample of videos from this week’s new releases from Glen Campbell, David Guetta and Thundercat.
