We’re only two weeks in and September is shaping up to be a stellar month for new music releases. There are so many great new releases this week that my head is spinning trying to keep up with them all.
I’m excited about the latest release from St. Vincent entitled Strange Mercy. It is the third studio release from St. Vincent and easily one of the best indie rock albums of the year. It is delicate and raw.
Another favorite out this week is Ben Westbeech’s highly anticipated sophomore release There’s More to Life Than This. It has been five years since the release of his debut solo album, but the wait has been worth it. His latest release is a dance-oriented, soulful coupling of 11 tracks that you won’t soon forget.
Also out this week, new music from A.A. Bondy, Alice Cooper, Blind Pilot, Bush, Cant, Chuck Ragan, Das Racist, Girls, JJ Grey and Mofro, Katy B, Laura Marling, Madina Lake, Mason Jennings, Mates Of State, Neon Indian, Nick Lowe, Staind, The Kooks, Toro Y Moi, Trombone Shorty , Umphrey’s McGee, and Wild Flag.
