Rosie and Me may not be a band that you’re familiar with at this time, but the group is building a solid fanbase, one song at a time. After receiving much critical praise with the release of the 2010 EP, Bird and Whale, this week, the Brazilian band, fronted by Rosanne Machado, released its latest album entitled Arrow of My Ways, which is sure to be a hit with many indie music lovers. The 10 track album takes listeners on a musical journey that is steeped in the sound of Americana, while drawing inspiration from the band’s Brazilian culture. The title track “Arrow of My Ways” (featuring Greg Thomas) is beautiful and haunting and gives listeners a taste of what they can expect on the album.
The group currently has a few tour dates scheduled in March in Texas and will be performing at a number of SXSW showcases (week of March 13- 19th). If you can make it, you’re in for a treat. If not, no worries. You can purchase the latest album at iTunes and catch a glimpse of the band performing the lead track entitled “Home” (featuring Joshua Thomas) after the jump.
