Right on the brink of the music festival season, heavy metal band Metallica announced plans to launch one of its own. Orion Music + More is a 2-day music and arts festival that will take place on June 23rd and 24th at Bader Field in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
After 30 years together, the heavy metal mainstays will be bringing their “lifestyle festival” to the masses. The band will headline both nights of Orion, performing their self-titled (Black) album in its entirety on the first night and 1984’s Ride The Lightning in its entirety on the second. But don’t think that this is just a headbanging festival. Far from it. The line-up boasts a spectrum of different rockers from the Arctic Monkeys to Lucero. (full list of bands is below)
